Let’s Talk Vitamin !

The year 2020 will go down in history as one of the toughest year that mankind ever endured. Not only we are facing gradual economy downfall, we are constantly challenged to maintain health in the environment where Covid-19 pandemic are looming unseen.

Vitamins and supplements are now considered to be necessity by most of the health conscious population. First of all let’s be clear on definition of vitamin in general. Most vitamin are essential nutrients that the body needs to function but cannot produce itself. Normally we will be getting vitamin from our dietary or activity plan. For example we eat citrus fruit for source of vitamin C or we do sunbathing to get some vitamin D. People take supplements and vitamins to make sure they get enough essential nutrient to maintain and improve their overall health.

One of the most asked questions about vitamins involved the daily intake. Is it safe to consume vitamins on daily basis ? As long as it is within the recommendation limit, vitamins has been consumed for years without harms.

It is also important to know what vitamins that we are going to take. Vitamin C and E are to maintain health in general since they are antioxidants molecules that can prevent cells damage. Vitamin D helps the body to absorb calcium. Vitamin B12 keeps the blood cells and nerve system healthy. Zinc helps to boost immune system and metabolism. It is also important to help wound healing and enhance sense of taste and smell.
